Pharmacy is an age old profession which has transformed into a hub for “Global Healthcare” and evolved as a multidisciplinary and multifaceted field in recent times. Pharmacy revolves around people and medicines with special emphasis on the manufacture of medicines, their supply, appropriate use and effects. It is the science of formulating and dispersing medicines. A candidate pursuing pharmacy needs to link and achieve a balance between the health and chemical sciences.

The scope of the subject is never dying since it finds its use in the day to day life. Pharmacy is a versatile, dynamic, growing, and increasingly diverse profession, one which creates excitement because there are so many opportunities for service. The pharmacy profession comprising the industrial and practice sectors is undergoing a rapid change. Pharmaceutical industry and practice sectors need clinically and technologically trained pharmacy professionals who can face global challenges and compete with the multinationals.


It is four years undergraduate degree course in the pharma field. After the completion of this degree, the students can practice as a pharmacist. Pharmacists can work in a range of industries related to the manufacture, marketing, testing of medicine, cosmetics, nutraceuticals and also in Government sector as Drug Inspector, Hospital Pharmacist etc.
